Limesquare goes to the Races
Limesquare's annual office party was held this year at Peterborough Greyhound Race Track, where a fantastic night was had by all.*
With a good turnout of staff coming from all five depots the evening really did bring team members from across the country together, creating an entertaining reunion for co-workers based in Wiltshire through to Lincolnshire. Enjoying pleasant company over great food and amidst good cheer Limesquare staff had the chance to have a flutter on a number of different races, resulting in comical banter all around dependant on the resultant winnings and losses.
Sarah (Area Sales Representative) said of the evening that it was "a great team night out - fun, fun, fun!" whilst Julie (Head Office) said that "it was nice to put names to faces". With a similar sentiment Charlotte (Grantham Rental Agent) said that it was "a great night enjoyed by all... a rare opportunity for all staff to get together."
As part of the festivities Limesquare was proud to be a corporate sponsor of one of the races, the Limesquare Stakes. This meant that as well as enjoying our namesake race we had the privilege of awarding the trophy of this race to the winning greyhound and their owner. The winner on the night was Gracey's Return, one of the race favourites with a previous track record of nine wins in 62 races. The trophy was awarded by our Depot Managers, and a very proud Gracey's Return trundled home to relax and recover after a hard earned win.
We would like to thank Maxine for organising such a great evening, the memories of which will keep us going until the next one...
* Peterborough Greyhound Race Track was partly chosen because of its responsible attitude towards caring for the greyhounds both through their racing career and once retired.
